![]() Jarod Facknitz is a Chicago voiceover artist, session drummer, singer/songwriter, and author. He is a founding member of the eclectic rock duo, BEATEN BY YURI, as well as a former music critic for the Chicago Acoustic Underground. He currently drums for Chicago bands Jonas Friddle and the Majority, the Scuttlebuggs, and solo artist Lindsay Weinberg. Jarod is a multi-instrumentalist (drums, vocals, piano, guitar), and former lead-singing drummer of Detroit-based group The Ottomans (winner of the 2001 Detroit Music Awards). Facknitz earned scholarships from Who's Who Among American Students for biographical essays, as well as the prize for Best Short Story in the North American International Auto Show Contest of 2000. He is currently a children's instructor at the Old Town School of Folk Music, and is in the process releasing two final albums with Beaten By Yuri, and recording a second solo album. He will also be using this site to officially publish an upcoming novella entitled, Lame Beggars Walk. |
